Strategies tested: frequent combinations, guaranteed systems, avoiding the last draw

1Frequent combinations versus Quick Pick lines – three case studies

One line played in each of the 105 draws from 10.10.2025 to 09.10.2026. Stake per line: €2.50 (€2.50 per draw).

What the figures show: with hindsight, any line you pick looks good. As soon as the choice is made before the draws, the advantage disappears – results vary just as they do for any Quick Pick line and the balance stays negative on average (about half of the stakes is paid back).

2Guaranteed-win system (covering design)

A covering design from combinatorics: 40 lines chosen so that in EVERY draw at least one line has 2 matches. Principle: the numbers are split into 4 groups (13 + 13 + 12 + 12); by the pigeonhole principle, at least 2 drawn numbers fall in the same group, and in each group the system covers all combinations of 2.

Checked against the 1988 draws in the database: the guarantee has always held.

All lines of the system (green: guarantee reached in the latest draw)

Latest draw 09.10.2026: 1 lines with at least 2 matches.

The guarantee is real – but expensive: it secures a small prize for €100 per draw. Over a year, €1,881 in winnings against €10,500 in stakes. Better-optimised systems need fewer lines, but the sum stays negative because every line has the same negative expected value.

3Avoiding the numbers of the last draw

A popular filter: play none of the numbers from the last draw. Without the 5 numbers from 09.10.2026, 1,221,759 combinations remain out of 2,118,760 – 57.7%.

In reality, the next draw shared at least one number with the previous one in 42.3% of cases (expected: 42.3%, 1987 pairs of draws).

A complete winning combination has been repeated 1 times in the database (1988 draws).

The filter does not change the odds: every remaining combination is exactly as likely as every excluded one. That no line has ever repeated is normal with 2,118,760 possibilities – for any given line, even the last one drawn, the chance is identical at every draw.
